Traction control

I have a rectangular traction control button but when I push it there's no traction control off light on my gauges my car is a 2000 3.8 5 speed. The button is plugged in and the wire harness does look factory. Does anyone else have this? How does it work?

Usually the traction control system is connected to the ABS, so whenever the ABS is disabled the traction will be disabled, looks like the traction didn't reset properly when you reset the ABS.

Yes you need to try to disconnect the battery for few minutes and see if this will work.
