It's not that bad. I did mine yesterday. It's more of a pita getting off than putting on

Glad i saw this cuz lucky me im putting, or attempting, to put these on tomorrow.... Super deal. 25$ on craigslist... There in perfect shape i just sanded them a bit so i could paint, but gave up 5 minutes in haha. Goin on my 02 5speed. Good by 94 to 98 manifolds hello bbk just out of curiosity will i see any difference in sound or performance? Already have full exhaust with custom h pipe , bassani hi flo cats, dual flowmaster 40s dumped after the mufflers. Not expecting any power just curious about the sound... Which sounds effing amazing already.. Ha

hey allydriver,i have a set of pacesetter headers on my 01 3.8 and yes the 04 did come with the 3.9 but from what i've heard they aren't that different.for around $300.00 bucks you can get the nice ceramic coated ones but they do offer cheaper ones.it is a pain to do headers on these because as you know theres not much side room.when installing on the drivers side, you want to make sure the oil dipstick tube is already in and started because it might be a headache later to install but if going back stock header you might not have that problem, but plan ahead for that issue.does you grandson plan on keeping the car and doing any mods.if so,grandpa could look like a hero getting him started with a set of shorty headers and you never have to worry about cracking issue again!lol! and sprayin those nuts and studs with penetrating oil might save ya some trouble later when removing.
