HELP

Hello I'm trying to install a new clutch kit in my 2000 3.8L mustang. I got every step done but I came to the step where you pull the transmission from the bell housing. I hot everything off ,the mount, the 4 Bolt's, the sensors , the drive shaft. I got it to separate from the bell housing a little bit but the input shaft seems like its stuck on something and the tyranny won't come out. Is the clutch fork holding it in?? Or do I have to have someone push the clutch in repeatedly and try to get it out????? Please help only car I have and suppose to start a new job and need the car.

You did pull the shifter right?

The T5 should come apart from the bell without too much fuss. If you are sure you have EVERYTHING disconnected and only the input shaft being stuck is holding it in, use a pry bar and use leverage to get it the rest of the way out. Just be gentle.

Yes did take the shifter off

Yes everything is off and disconnected and when I did pull the transmission out from the bell housing like 4 little balls fell out the bell housing. Is that from the tob?? That's why I'm putting a new clutch set in. Do I have to spin the input shaft to get it to release the transmission?????

No it just pulls out. Any little balls that fall out are likely ball bearings from a destroyed throw out bearing.

It's off

Got the transmission off the tob was stuck right to the shaft. Now 1 bolt on the bellhousing is totally striped and it's the only bolt left. Any ideas of how to get it off????

Grind the head off and pull the bell then you should just be able to put some vise grips on it and spin it out.
