Squeaking Belt?

I keep hearing a squeaking coming from the front of my 2000 v6. It doesn't happen every time I start it, but upon startup there will be a loud squeal that will last for a couple seconds and then it goes down to a squeak that increases frequency with the speed of the car. I took it in to the dealer and they said everything was fine (told them to check the belt and alignment of the pulleys and pumps) and that it could just be moisture. Anyone have ideas as to what the problem is?

Link below to a dropbox video I took to try and give you guys an idea of what it sounds like.

It sound like a bad pully to me. Check the idler pully first. It's easy to get to and cheap iric.

Also while the belt is off check it for stretch marks.

oh jeez i know that sound well. its not the belt and its not the water pump or pullies. its the freaking cam syncro shaft behind the water pump. i replaced every pully in my car, the water pump, and the belt twice before a older mechanic listened to it for 30 seconds and said it was a bad syncro shaft. oem from ford ran me $150...i think american muscle is cheaper but i don't recall the brand or quality. youll need a shop to install it since there is a specialty tool for aligning it from what i recall.

if you wanna be sure have someone listen to the area behind the water pump with a stetho or use a screwdriver on your ear. either is fine but yeaaaaa replace it sooner then later because nothing sucks more then that shaft coming apart inside :/

btw once i replaced it i never had that noise again ^^
