3.8 supercharged factory

This weekend a guy was telling me that in the sn95 body style ford made a 3.8 with a s/c on it. I've never heard of it and am hesitant to believe it. Has anyone else heard of it

Thunderbird SC.I think 92 and 93.93 for sure because my buddy has a 97 stang with one in it and he got the motor from me.Harness and motor may be up for sale if anyone is interested.he's upgrading to a 351 windsor at this time.i'm 48 years old and do not recall any supercharged 3.8 mustangs in my time from the factory.if you know someone that has one with matching numbers to the car then it must be a Ford prototype worth alot of money.

The ONLY to date mustang with a turbo/ supercharger stock was the 85-86 mustang 3.8 SVT

You are correct. The SVO was a turbo 4 banger good for 200-210hp. No 3.8 received supercharger from the factory in the Mustang flavor. The Thunderbird Supercoupe got an Eaton M90 supercharged 3.8. I don't know the number but it's somewhere in the ballpark of the Newedge 3.8's.

3.8 supercharged factory

^ 210hp and 315ft lbs, on 12lbs of boost, factory. Those engine have a lot potential. Mods ones can be up to 350rwhp, and a lot more torque.

Pick your poison.

i had one in a 88 thunderbird turbo coupe.not the quickest thing off the line but out on the highway it kicked a$$! started having alot of trouble out of her so traded it in on a newedge back in 01. it only had 230.000 plus miles on it. barely broke in if you ask me,almost didnt buy another ford after that.lol!
