" have loud squeal at start up but as soon as i turn the ac it stops" Does this mean you turn it on or does this mean turn off the AC? The AC clutch is supposed to free wheel when not engaged. It just may be possible the clutch is stuck and only allows the clutch to turn when turned on. Have someone watch as you turn it on and off. Also, does the squeal return when you do either on of off?

I'll replace the belt first since the tensioner was a p.i.a. they're both dayco brand not oem if that matters
