SN95 body question..

Some back story..

About two years ago I totaled my mustang and for Christmas last year my husband got his hands on a 2002 Mustang that looked just like mine but has some body damage. The whole front end needs replaced. We plan on getting a new shell & starting from scratch instead of paying for the body work (quoted at $1200).

We found a shell about an hour from us for free for a 95 mustang. Will the shell from it be close enough to being the same to build my 02 together?

Well it will look different that much is for sure. In my mind it would be complicated due to the different body stylez

I know the actual body parts & shape is different. We just need to know if the body parts from an 02 would fit on a shell from a 95.

Thank you! That's what we figured but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Ditto with parkerz... Each body Change is a different car they have the same basic look chassis but breaking them down to bolt on parts they are different. Same with the drive train. V-6 have same shirt block but top ends of each are different. As well as the ECU's controlling the motors and auto tranny's

1994-2004 is identical besides external parts.
I have 1995 V6 but I'm using a rear end from a 2001 GT.

An oversimplification I think. There are plenty of other differences such as the engines top end.

a little bit yeah, almost anything can be swapped over from 94-04.
even 79-93 has the same engine mounts and cross member.

You could swap the engine into the older style and call it good. body parts won't fit though
