2000 mustang 3.8

Hello question here...I recently blew my pistons and rings.the motor had nearly 200k.the motor now is out and I am in the process of buying another.my question is what is the best and easiest engine size upgrade available to bolt and function with current trans intake mounts exhaust soliniods pullies and so on.I need my car repaired quick and want to make the best out of the worst to save my wallet..currently 2000 MUSTANG V6 3.8l 232 ci externally balanced.is there a bigger v6 or smaller v8 that will bolt right up and let me reuse the extras

You could get an F150 4.2L V6 to swap in. Same block with a longer stroke.

There's some good info here. http://www.v6mustang.com/threads/the...ap-post.92629/

2000 mustang 3.8

To my knowledge the 4.6 is the smallest V8 ford makes that will direct bolt to ur model. Otherwise it's the 3.8 that came in its or 4.2 found in E and F 150's or a combo of the two to make a stroker motor.
