Car won't fire up

So my car has been sitting for a few months. I tried to crank it and it wouldn't fire up. The engine turns and the starter is working but it won't fire up. I got it running once and then as soon as I revved it a little (to try to keep it running) it shut off. I've added a few gallons of gas to it. I've swapped batteries. I've added coolant and engine oil. What else could it be?

I would take a look at your fuel pressure. Sounds like the pump is going out.

I just took the fuel filter out. I'm sure it wasn't helping. Out of one side it looked about as dark as oil coming out. Then the other side had plain gas coming out

Definitely change it. That could very well be your problem

Got a clean fuel filter put in and it's still not firing up. I'm going to check on the spark plugs and wires then go from there

Was it stored inside? Or just outside? Maybe an animal could've chewed a wire to something causing it to not start
