Unhappy !Help! Engine Idling and Rev Issues

Hey guys, i know I'm new to the forums but hopefully some one can help me. Two days ago i took my car into the Ford dealership because my car will jump up anywhere from 1,000-2,000 rpm when i put the clutch in, sometimes it will even jump up and then die. Ford blames it on my k&n aftermarket cold air intake, however i called k&n and they said that the cold air intake could not be the problem!? Confused as ever and still stuck with the problem, i turn to you all. Please help!

Sounds like a possible MAF issue. Did you install the intake? Connector may not be in correctly/dirty or MAF could be bad. This is just a suggestion as I am fairly new to these cars as well so Id wait for a second opinion.

I'm willing to gamble if you take the intake off and put the stock one back on it won't do that...or just get a tune, one of the two.

first off clean the MAF sensor, especially if you have re-oiled that K&N filter. It gets crap on it and gets nasty from the oil in the K&N. Its easy to clean you just use on contact NO residue electrical parts cleaner. Clean it good.

The second thing is replace the IAC valve (idle bypass valve) that controls idle of the car in neutral.

After that remove the negative battery cable for a bit and hit the brakes a couple times to drain the power out of the system then put it back on. This may fix it~ if not come back and post here.

If all of the above doesnt work try the stock intake~ as said above.

What Brandon And Brad said !!! also check for a vacuum leak by the breather hose that connects the intake tube .there may also be a second hole with a gromit in the tube for an air temp sensor. check that
