Gas tank strap broken

How safe you think it is to be driving my 2000 with only one strap holding my tank on. Today I saw one of the straps had been lose. The bolt came out cause of rust and I don't know if it'll go back in at all. What should I do?

I'd personally park it and fix it. It might not be a huge risk, but the results if it lets go will be much more severe and costly. Should be a fairly easy and cheap fix. Post some pictures so we can see what needs to be done.

LMR sells replacement straps for ~$40. Keep in mind that a loose tank rattling/bouncing around may cause your fuel pump/sending unit to have problems. If you can help it don't drive it, but seeing how it is your winter dd, I'd take it easy on your commute.

Couldn't really fix it, the bolt came out cause of so much rust. Did a make shift job and used hose claps to fix it. The gas tank is also leaking. Don't really feel like fixing cause the car isn't worth that much to start off with

Will be worth a lot less if it catches fire due to a gas tank leak, would fix that asap!
