EXHAUST HELP ASAP!!!!

So a weld on my exhaust below the manifold and above the cat bust yesterday. I was told JB weld first then to use some exhaust tape around it to make sure it could get me by for a few months. Need to know if the JB weld is going to catch fire or if I'll be fine using this method. HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!Click image for larger version

Don't mean to be a bummer, but all the JB Weld in the world is not going to help that. You would be expecting an awful lot out of any easy, cheap fix even for a couple of days, or hours, let alone months. I would try to wire brush it clean as best I could, then get in there with a small wire feed and do the best I could to hold me over till I could take it apart and do it right. Make sure to disconnect the battery before you hit it with the welder or you'll fry your ECM.

Cold Weld Bonding Cmpound : Cargo Thermo Steel High Temp Metal Repair

you can try this (or similar) JB wont work 600 F max. This might as a Yankee Farmer repair. Been there with the $ issues. If you try it give an update either way

I'd guess less than 50% chance of working but If I'm right about the situation I'd try it

Try this.

It's good stuff. Don't race around and heat soak your exhaust and it might hold you over

I tried the wrap and it didn't hold. I had it rewelded and cleared the check engine light but on my way home from work this morning it came back. It's saying system too lean bank 1 and 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. Any ideas what could cause it to reappear?
