anyone know why DS needs to be painted white?

on pure stock and street stock the DS needs to be painted white. i don't get it, why? i really don't feel like painting it all white but i guess i'll do it if need be. i'd at least like to know why.

i may be able to run street stock but not pure stock because i have done too much to her to be legal.

"DRIVE SHAFT:

All drive shafts must be painted white. No aluminum shafts. Drive shaft hoop mandatory, chains and cables will not be accepted."

easier to see would be my guess. if it breaks, its easier to see at night

but thats the only place. alum driveshafts are NHRA approved for racing until you get to the 10s i believe.

you need the driveshaft safety loop anyway since youre running slicks. thats required when running slicks.

If it comes off, its easier to see on white shaft on a black track.

My guess would be that it's easier to see fractures begin.

I talked to my friend James. He races Jr. Drag. What I said is the correct reason.
