Traction control button
I've been having trouble finding my traction control button. In the gauge cluster I see the emblem for traction control but no where to turn it off at any help? I have a 35th anniversary 3.8

Should be right in the center console between the fog light and defrost button.

Says "TRAC OFF". Right there in the center below the radio. Can't miss it.

That is weird indeed. Have you ever seen the TC light turn on? You said "emblem", meaning you can see on the cluster where it is? You may not have it. The clusters will still have all the places for the various systems even if the car is not equipped with them.

That makes sense because that is the only place I see anything about TC

Not being funny but I wouldnt imagine the 3.8 would need traction assist.

Just gonna quote this again. If I need to I can break out my window sticker from my previous GT to prove it. The shifter bezels changed in 01 when the stereos changed. Cars before 01 will have the bezel Bowhunter has with traction control in that position and 01+ cars will have the three button setup like what was posted earlier.

I actually hate it. It's not like TC on other vehicles I have where it works kinda like the ABS. This one like retards timing or something. If I try to spin the tires with it on it's like the engine shuts off.

I have no idea if my traction control works or not. I have a button, and I normally leave TC on (no green light on the button). I have had the car break traction twice since I have had it. Both times was a straight line, and in the rain, from a start. The traction control warning light on the dash lit up, but nothing stopped the tires from spinning.
However, I was not trying to do a burn out, and was easing out of the throttle on my own. I may have reacted faster than the car's ancient system.
I don't beat on my cars or drive them hard.
