Full side scoops, and a Cobra rear spoiler, or spoiler delete. Mach 1 chin spoiler. FR500 wheels.

No, but I decided to add to the list.

Let's face it; those of us that own an SN95 New Edge are only a few years away from having a vintage car. The car is not going to ever really look modern compared to the advances that have occured in technology and design over the years.

To truly add modern touches to the 99 a few body modifications will need to be made. I personally like the look of the New Edge. The lines are reminiscent of the FoxBody.

You could add Raxiom tail lights with sequential flashers. Replace every bulb in the car with LEDs, and add a set of retrofitted HID projectors. Do not forget a set of crystal clear, or clear tinted fog lights to get rid of the white and hazy parts that plague the 17 year old bumper.

Lowering the car about an inch with a new set of wheels brings a new look to our cars also.

In terms of body work, a set of full side scoops will fill the gap. A Cobra R hood will remove the dates scoop and add new lines to the front of the car. A different rear spoiler that sits flush on the deck kid will also give a cleaner appearance. A black out on the deck kid between the tail lights changes the look also.

On the interior you can begin by adding a double din touch screen stereo with a reverse camera. Replace all of the plastic accent pieces with carbon fiber parts (or have your parts wrapped or dipped in a carbon replica vinyl. Bullitt pedals will give a little life to the driver's floor.

Adding under dash courtesy lighting, and courtesy lights to the exterior doors provides modern touches also.

In truth, there is not much appearance-wide I think one can add to the New Edge without taking away from the car. I have seen wide body kits (I installed one one a car a few years back), ground effects, a long list of bumper cover options, and rear window "Eleanor" scoops. All of these parts changed the car, but the biggest change in appearance is normally a new set of wheels (my advice is to skip on flat black wheels without any polished aluminum).

And when it's all said and done, you've spent potentially a thousand dollars and still have a 17 year old car with just a bunch of new parts on it. Spend the money on making it look good for what it is, and run good, and not trying to make it something it is not (modern). My 2 cents.

Modern to me means ABS, traction control, anti-roll, Bluetooth hands free stuff, power everything, dual zone temp controls, heated/cooled seats, heated/cooled steering wheel, multiple memory power seats, auto headlights, auto wipers, etc, etc, you get my point.

You can make it look good, but you ain't making it modern by adding LED's.

Just make it yours. I spend a lot of time googling pictures of new edge mustangs and to see what everyone else does and I take my cues from that. I would say wheels do more than anything to make a difference in looks, IMO.

BTW, what does the title of this thread mean? MMD?

If you try to make a newedge look like anything but a newedge it's going to look riced.

I had a above average v6 mustang that had mild engine work, terminator interior, wilwood brakes, and parts you couldn't order from an American muscle catalog. Honestly if you want your car to be nice don't go by what American muscle does and posts on their site go on instagram and follow pages like slammedstangs, mustangfanclub, and fordlifestyle. Get ideas on howto build your car from seeing clean cars.

You can still add modern features to the car without deviating from the original design. An upgraded head unit with a back up cam, GPS, and touch screen would bring the interior up to date. When I think about modern features, this is the type of thing I think about.

Larger brakes and braided brake lines improve the lousy braking system the New Edge has.

Sometimes the greatest improvements are never seen.
