I'm in the process of digging down to what feels like the bottom of never to replace some gaskets.
I've taken off the upper intake manifold and am to the stage where the books says "remove the fuel injectors and rail assembly"...but I can't get the fuel rails off. There is a metal tube (I'm guessing this is what the Chilton's manual says is the "coolant bypass tube" that is "pressed in and not servicable") in my way.
I've pulled the fuel injectors out of their holes, but between that metal tube in the front and what appears to be called the "fuel pressure regulator" in the back, I can't move the fuel rails more than a few millimeters.
There is a flexible tube full of fuel running between the rails, but it really doesn't want to come off and I've torn part of the outer covering off trying to convince it to move.
