Need advice on exhaust

So I recently looked into boosting my 2000 3.8, at my current state I won't be able to afford it to be reliable so I decided I'd rather get a port and polish, cam, long tube headers, and an exhaust. But I don't know what exhaust I want, borla atak cat back, off road x pype, H pype, straight true duel from the heads, or if I want a side exit exhaust. Look and I understand "it'll never sound like a v8" I get that I like the sound the v6 makes. And lastly the long tube headers, what brand would be best do I go ceramic? Stainless? I don't know and I want to ask what you guys think before I just go and buy things.

Thanks in advance

Once again... sell your car and get a GT. Will cost less and you'll be faster and it'll be turnkey. A ported/polished/cammed 3.8 will be $$$$ and you'll lose to a bolt on 4.6

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
