What to do with $1100

Alright guys I only have two things I absolutely need to replace on my car with this cash and thats LT Headers (stockers cracking) and a pro 5.0 shifter (stocker is sloppy as hell). Now the question is what to do to get the best bang for my buck with the rest of the cash, all suggestions welcomed. I was leaning towards spec stage 2 clutch (since mines got 100+k on it) and 75mm TB.

Re: What to do with $1100

I have had steeda, hurst, pro 5.0 and have driven MGW

go with MGW!!

so figure 600 left over?? I'd say a set of springs or something else ride-wise hell for $600 maybe even a set of 3.73s or taller gears..

Throttle body is not beneficial to you at this time, that and you can only get a 70mm.

dont forget about a new mid-pipe with those headers. but if you still have money left over, id definately do gears and a new differential.

Re: What to do with $1100

Ive seen up to 80mm for the 3.8, Let me dig up the link sometime, maybe I was lookin at something else lol. Where could I find an MGW? Ive shifted a pro 5.0 and really enjoyed the way it felt but the car was parked at the time. I actually dont have a mid-pipe. My exhaust as it sits now is 2.25 off the headers, stock cats, then it Y's into 2.5" right into my Cherry Bomb Extreme muffler which has dual 2.25" outlets dumping right out the sides. I like it except all the cats make it ungodly quiet outside of the 3200+rpm range. Can anyone recomend a good set of tires? somewhat all-season for now, Mine are pretty bald.

Re: What to do with $1100

Toyo Proxes are my fav tire choice. Good all around traction and a good wear rating as well as a smooth and quiet ride. A set lasts me about 20-25K driving conservatively.

If you want good prices on tires go to tirerack.com. I made a stupid choice of bying falcon tires from this place and spent like $700 just on tires and could of got the same ones for a total around like $400. Plus if u looking for cheap parts go on Americanmuscle.com.

Re: What to do with $1100

Where is Mount Joy? Im in Dallas, Wilkesbarre area.

I would say for about 600 get your midpipe and see where you are at from there. Whatever is left save it towards 3.73's and posi.

Lancaster basicly. Central PA. Your about 1-2hours out depending on where at in that area you are. My dad used to live in Wilki/scranton area for a while. Shoot me a PM if your ever in the area. Oh and btw I could get a mid-pipe made for about $50 + install at the local custom exhaust shop. Youll never see me spend more than $200 on anything other than headers for the exhaust lol.

I used to live so close to you. I'm originally from Reading. I didn't know too many people in the area that were into Mustangs. I moved to CA now, so now is the time when everyone in PA will start gettin into Stangs, haha

Yea man you can get 96-98 4.6's so cheap nowadays because everyone is selling them to get hondas and toyotas. So the kids are all gonna start having big gas guzzlers and working towards the slow gas saving cars. Its all gonna do a flipflop basically with people no longer wanting performance but mileage instead.

I for one am excited and I hope this happens. Less people interested in car modification than the prices will go down. Course that also means all the old farts will be driving slow cars around and the young inexperinced drivers will be whizzing around in 400hp cobras. Lol we will own the roads.
