help putting together list of bullet proof drivetrain

lets say it needs to be safe up to 500rwhp/1.5 60's track times

i'm interested in the g force t-5 www.g-forcetransmissions.com with a really tall overdrive so i can get good gas mileage again. i'd like dog teeth, i hear they are still streetable, they just whine. a beefed up imput shaft, and i suppose keeping the stock DS is a good idea?

33 spliners, a rear end girdle, and a spool in the back should be plenty, right? (in an 8.8 rear end) how bad are spools for dailing driving in reality? i haven't driven one myself equipped as such. i don't drive crazy if that matters much.

what clutch is going to hold up fine? i've heard horror stories of going through three aftermarket clutches and then going back to OEM ford clutches (a friend with a fox did this).

what else is missing?

the tranny is fine and imput shaft.

an alum driveshaft should be fine. just get a driveshaft safety loop installed

get 31 spline axles, ive never heard of 33 spling. if you get it though, you need a new t-lok. the one you have is geared for 28 spline. i dont think you need the girdle or spool though. the 8.8 can hold up to 8s in the 1/4 pretty well.

i would go with a Spec stage 2 clutch personally

you've seen the thin little cover thats on it normally haven't you? i don't like it even just driving around. you could puncture it with a pair of scissors, i kid you not. yeah there are 28/31/33/maybe more? spline alxes. yeah the spools the new carrier. thanks brandon.

an alum DS will be able to stand up to a hard 1.5ish launch?

Yes with no problems and are actually better than the steel shafts. I dont know if you know this but the steel ones are sheetmetal that is put in a roller and rolled like a paper towel roll and welded together and capped. The Aluminum ones are extruded aluminum and are very durable.

Yes it can withstand whatever a v6 or v8 can throw at it. Actually the design is such the universals take most of the abuse

well, 31spline is all you will ever need. those will take it into the 8s in the 1/4 also

alum is extremly durable and like corey said, whatever you can throw at it, it will handle. just get a safety loop (especially since youre gonna have slicks).

i would still get a new t-lock instead of just respooling the old one. i would def. look into auburn or eaton. will cost some money, but they are amazing ones and can handle a TON of hp.
