AbS light

Ok so i was changing my oil today so i said to my self i'll just check everything else in the car. I was looking at the fuse box and i saw i was missing a fuse. So i checked my diagram and put the fuse back in the box. I started my car up and started to drive then i noticed my abs light never with off so i'm wondering if theres something wrong?

Before I put the fuse in i was missing some of my lights in my dash when u first start the car.

I got another question. When u first start the car are all the lights in the dash light up and turn off? Because the traction control light never turns on even if i puss the button.

Help please.

Re: AbS light

could be something as simple as dirty front ABS sensors. The light means the ABS system is not functioning. The vehicle is still ok to drive, but the Anti-Lock Brake System will not be functional. Chances are you damaged a wheel speed sensor. When the ABS reads different speeds at different wheels, it will turn on the light an disable the ABS system.

The ABS system works basically by monitoring the speed of each wheel during braking. if a wheel begins to turn slower the the rest, that wheel is locking up, and the ABS system will release some pressure from the brakes ok that wheel. When a sensor is damaged, it will constantly give a different speed reading at that wheel, and will disable the system to avoid complications if it were to try to operate.

Re: AbS light

How much would that cost to fix?
