Re: m90 supercharger question?????

If im not mistaken roots style blowers dont have blow off valves. They have bypass valves.

Re: m90 supercharger question?????

m90's at 300 are not that uncommon...M112's for 400, 700-800 ported, are no uncommon.

Re: m90 supercharger question?????

The problem with the M90 is for all the work you have to go through to get it all plumbed up it isn't worth the power. To be honest you can spend money on a set of ported heads with a nicely profiled cam and some longtubes underneath p/p upper and lower intakes and make more power more reliably all engine...

Re: m90 supercharger question?????

I was wondering about this also. ive got a 99 and i would like to put the M90 on it but what kind of work am i looking at? Do i need a different intake manifold? How does this thing mount to the engine? what other vital parts are needed to make this happen? I am clueless about supercharging and am just looking into it.

Re: m90 supercharger question?????

You will need new heads, new lower intake, and the complete supercharger setup....new injectors and a tune. It's a lot...you're better off finding a complete supercoupe motor and doing a complete motor swap instead.

A viable option on the 99+ split port setup is the M112 Eaton kit. There is at least one company selling and all-in-one kit for the 99-04 Split Port 3.8 engines. Along with the M90 or M112 you will need fuel upgrades, a tune, and eventually supporting parts such as transmission work, rear end upgrade, and probably go ahead and plan on doing a bottom end engine build at some point in the future.

You could just place a turbo randomly in the engine bay....otherwise you will need alot of custom piping, oil lines, tuning, fuel upgrades, etc etc etc etc....

thats what id do, dont bother with a m90 roots blower on a v6 either, yea they are cheap but they arent even worth it at the end of the day.
