Time to put it in the garage for the winter.

Snow is here. I have some projects to get done before spring.

1) Install Borla Exhaust.
2) Install MAC C.A.I
3) Install Pioneer Speakers
4) Remove Seats and Vacuum.
5) Remove Dash and Vacuum, Find Rattle in Defrost Vent.
6) Find Rattle in Exhaust. (CATS)
7) Find Rattle/Squeak in rear. (Shocks)
8) Checks Breaks, Paint Calipers.
9) Change oil and Transmission Fluid.
10) Fix dome lights.
11) Touch Up Paint for Hood and Roof.
12) Fix Rear View Mirror. (Install Correctly)
13) Paint Hood and Side Scoops.

Re: Time to put it in the garage for the winter.

I finally got a break from the snow shoveling and I got a chance to work on the car. I got the CAI and the Borlas installed. It is still on Jack stands so I haven’t test drove it yet. They sound a bit quit, not as loud as I was expecting. I am sure they will sound a lot different when there is a load on the engine. Also I didn’t put it in drive so I hit the neutral rev limit at 4000. It does rev much smoother a quicker thou. When there is dry pavement I will take it for a spin but that most likely not be until mid February. While I was under the car I removed about a dozen small rocks from the cat’s heat shields. I think that was the rattle I was hearing.

The car looks nice and cozy in the garage!

Re: Time to put it in the garage for the winter.

There is no adjustment for the tail pipes. It is a bolt up system. I could have added spacers so the pipes were below the bumper but I thought it would look better with the cutouts.

I had to shovel the truck out by hand. My back is loving it! It is raining now and what a mess. About a foot of slush on the roads.

I do not miss those days of shoveling out...specially since our driveway was 6' below our yard so the snow would drift in real nice. Might only get a foot or two of actual snow, but you would get 8' drifts burrying the cars.
