CAI or Short Ram

I am debating weather I should get a CAI or a short ram intake. It seems to me like there wont be any much of a difference between the two. I heard you are supposed to be more careful with the CAI's. What is a better way to go and what brand is good.

I saw the short ram by Volant and it looked real promising, but the price was up there so I am not sure on the (best) one that would get the most gain.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I would start out by reading this article... It helped me understand a lot better on the subject, and in return... Helped me make a decision...

BTW.. Welcome to the boards!

Did you read the entire article? It goes over the brands. A Ebay CAI will give you the same results as a MAC or BBK.

The difference between to two is the logo on it.

I got an Ebay CAI on my 2003 V6, seems to do just fine... 60 bucks later, and I am happy with it.

The one I picked up is actually made by Bomz Racing Inc. You can look at thier web site by going to this link... http://www.bomzracing.com/

Bomz Racing Cold Air Intake 99-02 Ford Mustang V6 3.8L MSRP $179.99

Just for you that don't wanna read the article, don't get a ram-air kit. And any CAI will work, just make sure it's a fenderwell style.
