New member in the Denver CO area.

I have been involved in one type or another of motor sports most of my life. I'm 56 years old. I did the family stuff and denied myself a much needed mid life crisis for long enough. I saw, fell in love with and purchased on the spot a mint 2002 white V6 convertible and instantly caught the "go fast, look good" bug. I started slow with a billet piece here and adding OEM factory fog lights there. Then came the inevitable sound system upgrade...oh yes... a Pioneer F900bt in dash nav system with all the bells and whistles. It's been in about a week and I love it!. OK, so enough for the interior....for now. I looked at the car and read the forums on Mustang Evolution diligently and started the upgrades...slowly at first. I bought and installed a CAI and swapped the stock muffler for a magnaflo. I think that's when I was overtaken by the upgrade alien. I was innocently enough browsing the American Muscle website when I suddenly bought a new set of white bullet rims, 9's for the front and 10.5's for the rear. Those were the wheels I was gonna have no matter what, but I needed to fill them with some rubber. I live in Colorado and this was going to be my daily driver, but those Nitto 555's look so hot...screw the snow! Yup, I ordered them, 275's for the front and yes, 315's for the rear. Put them on today and to say I was pleased was an understatement. Even the droid at the tire store commented on how "sick" it looked! My car looks "sick"...how cool is that (I think)...
Well, the Ford Racing "C" springs, new isolators, and Tokico blues arrived today. All the OL kept saying was "cha ching!" each time I opened a blessed new box. Yup...there are the new gears (3:73's) and the install kit, three sweet looking bottles of gear oil...get on the phone and call together an emergency meeting of the grease monkeys and managed to pull a couple out from under their rocks to help me put the springs, shocks and struts in tomorrow. I'm so into instant gradification.
Like Santa checking his list twice I started crossing toys off the wish list. Let's see, tires...check, wheels...check, shocks and struts...check, gears...check, springs...check. Still waiting on the SCT tuner from VMP tuning that I ordered earlier this week. Hmmm...a cam, roller rocker arms and a UDP should finish off the mechanical for now.....yea, right...been here, done this in the past...it never ends. I love my 6 cylinder toy, oh... and by the way my mid life crisis is coming along well and will continue to be my excuse for fulfilling my motor dreams until I can come up with something better. Oh, and the OL doesnt know, but I'm trying to get the car ready for a killer trip. Sometime, depending on weather we will take off between Christmas and New Years and head for Oklahoma and pick up Route 66 and follow it to San Diego...see, I really needed that in dash nav system. Then we will head up the coast route to my sons house in Nothern California for a visit...then east across California and south thru Death Valley, into Vegas and then decide the best way home depending on weather. I'm an adrenalin junkie, but driving on any sort of ice with those Nittos is just insane. Anyways... that's my intro and I'm sticking to it!

Re: New member in the Denver CO area.

Posted a bunch of pics this evening. The lowering springs, shocks and struts went on today. The most recent pics show the car as it sits now. Comments?
