Re: What next

Neither. Gears would help you more.

But if i had to choose either i would say throttle body.

Re: What next

the issue with gears is gas mileage and rpm's you will run at.. .and drone from the exhaust earlier in the mph range than before~ use a calculator to see how much they will go up for your gear choice.. I would do at least 3.73 though or dont mess with it

Re: What next

Dittos on the gears! If you don't wuz out and do 3.55:1s, a 3.73:1 or 4:10s will make it feel like you added two more cylinders to your car.

Heck, I even ran 4.56:1s on my 1992 V8 for a while. While they were not right for my combination at the drag strip, on the street they were pretty cool. Just pick any gear to start in and they'd chug on up. But, those are not for the faint of heart and are pretty much for really hard core guys, IMO. Back in the day, I briefly ran a set of 5.13's in my brand X car. That's Too Much of a good thing.

I think what's happening in the V6 field is just remarkable. The sound some of them make with a good dual exhaust sounds like high dollar European sports cars.

Back on topic, you won't be sorry if you go with gears and they will make better use of all the stuff you are considering.

Wishing you good six,
Jim

Re: What next

a Tune and a underdrive pully.

however if you could id go with the 4:10 gears. mine is a daily driver man, trust me youll like it on the daily drive. everytime you hit a light and it turns green youll be pulled back into your seat when you go! lol If you can do it, if not then the tuner and underdrive pullys.

Re: What next

well I want to do the gears pully's and T-Lok someday, not to sure on tuneing the car. I run nitrous in the summer for weekend drag racing at the tracks . So that's why I am not sue on what would benefit my car more a 65mm TB or a 1in TB Spacer.

Re: What next

Headers are here. Santa dropped them off the other day. So next thing is the TB and after that gonna go superchager. Just one small detail. Vortech list their kit for 99-00, is there any mods I would have to do to make it fit my 04?

I still say a good tune. You get 3 differernt Costum tunes from VMP. So you can change them when you need to.

VMP Tuning - Buy Ford SCT & GM Custom Handheld Flash Tuners Performance Economy Towing: Custom Tuned SCT X-Calibrator V3 NEW!

Here is a Quote from their web site

"We can adjust the tunes in many ways based on your needs and preferences. Need a tune to safely run nitrous? Have an aftermarket cam which is affecting your idle? Want better gas mileage? All of these can be corrected for with our custom tuning. With one of our mileage tunes gas engines typically gain 1-2 MPG and diesel engines typically gain 3-4 MPG."

thanks for the input but my focus is on superchaging the car. so again, Vortech list their kit for 99-00, is there any mods I would have to do to make it fit my 04?
