fuel pump for v6

Ok heres the question.
my cars making about 400 at the crank, do you guys think that im toping out my fuel pump. I got a running lean, bank 1 o2 sensor code again and now im starting to think that my pump is not sufficiant enough.

It is a stock oem pump for a mustang V6.

what do you guys think??

In the datalogg you sould be able to look at what duty cycle the pump is running. or you can put a fuel pressure gauge and run the car to see if you drop fuel press. in the upper RPM range. if you are you might need to upgrade your pump

Re: fuel pump for v6

cool, thatll take me some time till i can get to doing that. works kinda nuts.
i was just wondering if off hand you know if that sounded like too much for the pump. i mean a v6 comes with 220 at the cranks so 400 is alot more.

Re: fuel pump for v6

anythime you are running boost you run the chance of maxing out the fuel pump. If you do upgrade the pumps don't just step up to GT pumps. you need to go all the way and do GT500 pumps. they sell them as an upgrade kit, and that way you never have to worry about it again

Re: fuel pump for v6

thats the right way of thinking, plus it's an investment in time, cause no one wants to do the same job twice
