Check this... 09 Project

Hey guys, so my girlfriend might be coming up with a little bit of money.... I have a 3.9 L engine and she said that I can ether do an engine swamp for a 4.2 crate engine or I can get twin turbos now I plan to do both in the long run but I was wondering wut you guys think should come first?

Will my stock motor be able to handle the twin turbo's if I run only like 4psi? I just dont want to wear down the stock internals to bad.

If I went with the turbo first wen I eventually got the 4.2 would I have to remodify the turbos?

Is it cheaper to just buy the 4.2 engine or just to bore it out myself? wut would I need and what would that consist of?

All thoughts and ideas will help out significantly

Id say turbos. And at 4psi you should have no problem at all. When you do the 4.2l swap you wouldnt have to rebuild the turbos.

Its actually a crank swap. It would be cheaper to make it a 4.2L.

Iasy do the turboas first. Like already said, you won't hurt the motor on 4psi. then do your rebuild later, as it will be cheaper. but when you do the stroker kit you need to upgrade to forged pistons that way you can run more boost and make BIG power

crank, rods, pistons. And a tune to make it all complete. Im not sure of the rest of the parts you need. I've also never done a 4.2 swap so have no idea on the prices sorry.
