Kirk is a stand up person and alot more patient than I would be in the same situation.

I don't understand this move by them. They have prided themselves in the V6 community for their work only to screw over one of the more respected V6 Mustang guys.

sounds like they dont know how to run a business, do quality checks, or deliver on their word... basically a one way ticket to out of business town... you cant do that crap

I must say you are a very stand-up person and I applaud you for being the bigger man. It's astonishing that they are dragging this out expecting you to just drop it I assume.

I'm not too terribly far from there if you need someone to drop by lol. Not saying it needs to be done, but if they refuse to refund I can at least get your broken parts back.

It's a shame !! To bad some people are trying to throw Matt under the bus just cause he works for them. I with Brad(lowflyin) on giving mad respect to slvr2000stang for the mature perspective he has taken with Delk I would of blown the shop up at this point

well you cant rush it... it sucks horrible when a business screws you over as they take FOREVER to do anything.. if it was the other way around you bet your ass they would be all over you trying to get their money.... just part of it. Why I dont mod as much as I would... crap like this takes place.

They built him a pile of crap engine with poor assembly and bad parts and now won't refund him anything. He spent around $10k on the engine, and it lasted only 4k miles or so. It's been nearly a year and they still won't own up to it being their fault.

I just hope that you dont lose your love for mustangs and modding them... its discouraging to say the least. I had Robert Green port me some intakes... took me a year to get them... by them i gave up and sold the v6.

I am currently having a new motor BUILT which will replace the last one that was ASSEMBLED.

Big difference in the two methods.

did ask you to read anything. just saying it was not just a tune. he had alot more done to the car.

as long as he was informed with a list of items that were to be installed and a price that he accepted its all good to go...however if delk just did it without asking and then said oh you owe us XXXXX but you needed it... then not only is that illegal in some states but its extremely bad to do in regular business practices. However as everyone knows there are ALWAYS two sides to a story so however... it is what it is.

It seems no matter which business it is there are always issues that arise, some I am sure are 100% the customers fault... but not all so far it seems delk basically took him for a ride (it only takes one customer to screw over to ruin a reputation) but... we dont know all of the story and probably never will. Either way the evidence is compelling.

yea i was on the phone with Darkshadow alot about his car. he knew all along what was being done to it. and so did his parents.

Matt...I know you're trying to come in and clarify a few things being said. But...what it looks like to everyone is that you are defending anything and everything Delk is doing. I know you have nothing to do with the issue at hand when it comes to the money, but it might be best to just lay low rather than start dragging yourself through the same pile as your boss.

I also wish this thread would stay on the topic at hand, not wander into what other things Delk has or has not done. The issue at hand is how Delk is dealing with an unhappy customer.

If my boss came across a customer I was treating this way I would have been out the door a long time ago. 1 negative comment from an existing customer will turn away countless future customers. Simple business. Sometimes you have to take a loss to make that one person happy to save future business. This concept must not have made it that far East.
