Talking V6 Engine Help

I got a 94 mustang with a 3.8l v6 i want to put a new engine in within years of 96-98, 99-04, but keep it 3.8L what all do i need to change when I do this i havent bought the engine yet... Just wanting some tips on what to do...

My 94 has a 95 3.8L it has a blowen head gasket it would it be easier to put a head gasket in or just get a new motor... I think the head gasket is alot cheaper and I can do it my self but do i need to get the heads plained???

Re: V6 Engine Help

Do the head gasket get it up and running You'll need much more then the motor and it's a long list

Re: V6 Engine Help

honestly if you want a v8 sell the v6 and go buy one. its a money hole trying to change a v6 to a v8. you have to get a huge list of parts. engine, computer and all the wires, you are going to need bigger brakes for the extra power, new axle, a transmission, etc. with these years starting to get older a GT should be cheap about be around like 7K.
