Post Headgasket Issues 3.8L

94 Mustang with 95 3.8L head gaskets are blown and thanks to everybodys tips I'm goin to just replace the head gaskets instead of spending alot on getting a engine... Couple ??'s

Is there a good brand out there or a certain head gasket kit to get???

Do i need to get the heads plained? Engine has only overheated one time...

When i replace the head gasket is there anything else I may need to change????... Bottom or Top

Is there any kit out there that may be good with everything in it found a masters kit for $540... Is there any cheaper.....

Re: Headgasket Issues 3.8L

I can't believe no one has mentioned Fel-Pro yet.

I would take the heads to a trustworthy, competent machine shop and let them check them out. The only problem is that a trustworthy, competent machine shop is sometimes harder to find than an uneaten Little Debbie cake in a room full of fat people. If it's only overheated once, it's probably fine. But if you can find a decent shop, I would rather be safe than sorry.
