Also is there any not to costly exhaust system I can get also will the mustang being a v6 sound low "beefed up muscle car, or high "rice burner honda " I def dont want no rice burner sound cant stand it and hate the cars....So any tip on a good sound exhuast let me know if you wouldnt mind...

Re: Check It Out....

Your choice of aftermarket heads is nill. You would be better off getting a set of ported heads if you really want to change. You'll really need ported upper and lower intakes to take advantage of the heads and exhaust to back it up. Once you open up on area there is always another bottle neck.

As far as exhaust sound...you can't have both loud and sounding good. Trust me, I tried. Went through a ton of setups and finally settled on a O/R X and straight through mufflers. Sounded like a dying cat but was loud...

Re: Check It Out....

A V6 will never sound like a V8.

But there are a lot of good sounding V6's out there.

Re: Check It Out....

i run true dual flowmasters with an x-pipe that turndown. which means they dont come out the back they literally turndown after the mufflers boxes. its deep and doesnt have any of that popping when revving.

Re: Check It Out....

the 3.8L will sound good till about 2500-3000 rpms then its raspy and buzzy. The only real way to do it is to go with a take off set of GT mufflers or something to keep the noise level down when you are higher in the rpms.
