Re: Pulleys

If you were to get one, get a 25% harmonic dampner pulley, It reduces the speed of the accessories/pulleys relative to the speed of the crankshaft, mainly the water pump.

aspracing has it for $225. They claim 10+ hp, but I personally don't have one, so I couldn't tell you what they give.

I would guess that the pulley would be underdriven for the supercharger, so it would affect it...so I probably wouldn't install one if a s/c is in the near future.

Re: Pulleys

If you are planning on a S/C anytime in the future skip this step.

Look at what your final plans are and start buying the small supporting things now. They may not help you at the moment but they will in the long run.

I would recommend investing in the rear end if you are looking for something to do. A Tlock and gears would be a nice investment in the future.

Re: Pulleys

I have the ASP 25% underdrive and 18% overdrive alternator pulley (since i have a large stereo) from VMP and I didn't really feel a difference, but its one of those mod's that should be done as it has evidence to prove power. I've heard from Justin at VMP that it added 7.8 RWHP to a 2004 V6 with no other supporting mod's but I'm sure it varies. Here is a look at mine
http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...pullies001.jpg

From the pic you'll notice it's smaller and thus probably has less drag than the stock pulley. Hope this helps...also I'm not sure why mine came with a maroon powdercoated color, but I didn't ask since I got it for a good price.

Thanks. I was thinking about the gears and t-lok. Some local old school mustang drivers have told me to go 4.10'S. And also said I should get an MSD Igntion system. Would this benfit me??

You will not benefit from a MSD box at the moment, nowhere near that point.

Gears and locker should be your next purchase.

Re: Pulleys

Your stock Igntion is fine if there is any gain over stock ,it wont be noticable to the driver
