Headers or Springs

Ok so check this out. I have Roush lowering Springs and BBK Shorties for my car. I dont have the tools or the time to do either one. I called a few shops and basicly gonna cost me the same to do either install. so what would you guys do? More Power or Lower the car.

The only thing with it being lowered is it looks so much better.

Re: Headers or Springs

Lower it. I would wait for your current exhaust manifolds to crack (which will happen eventually) before I put the headers on. You aren't really going to get much more power from them.

Re: Headers or Springs

It really depends more on what your into. If your more of a performance or apperance guy. Being that they are shorties and not LTs I say do the springs. just my .02 cents

Re: Headers or Springs

Lower it. That is a performance thing and a looks thing.

Replacing your stock manifolds with shorties will do ZERO for power gain. In fact, return them and get your money back.

Re: Headers or Springs

Lower it. My car is lowered and it looks awesome on the mustangs. Now that i am lowered i will never go back to a stock height mustang. It will help you get more traction also which is better in your 0-60 time and that would be better than your 1-2 HP gain from shorties.

Well I am not really sure what happened but I had an eye injury of some kind. I was at work and my co-worker said my right eye was all jacked up. I went into the mens room and sure enough my was red and pink. Called my eye doctor to see how fast I could see him. I had to wait 2 days. I was advise if my vision got worse to go the ER.

Well my vision got worse in a hurry. The lights started to hurt my eye and my vision was getting blurry cuz the eye started to water. so I punched out and drove to the ER. Doc ran all kinds of test. He dont know whats wrong and I was given Vicodin for pain. And restricted to a dark envoirment and i must ware an eye patch or at very least sunglasses at all times.

2 more doctors later and same tests. No one could tell me what happened. Just here take this drop 4times a day, this drop twice a day, and this gel only at night. So cost me some money to go to the ER and get all the "meds"

But on the up side I had 4 days off ina row. So my friend installed the headers for me. Cost me lunch, a six pack of beer, and some baby diapers.

Re: Headers or Springs

The headers are installed and there is big differnce over stock. In both sound and exceleration. Long tubes I am sure would have been way better. But I live in California and I must test emissions every 2 years; so the cats had to stay.Getting long tubes and new cats plus the install was not worth the money to me.
