Ford Racing C Springs and Stock Rims

I'm looking into swapping my stock springs for C Springs, will there be any problem with my stock rims in there? (checking accounts needs a few more zero's in it...) Also, I remember hearing a little while back (on a old thread) that you don't need a spring compressor to install the springs...is this true? (I hate spring compressors, every time i have to use one I feel i need someone nearby with 911 predialed...)
