Friend wants a question answered...

A friend of mine just bought a brand new 2004 Black Mustang Coupe (6er).

He was wondering if the Magnaflow Catback system designed for the 99-03 3.8 is interchangeable with the 3.9 04...

Myself, I think it is, but I was just wondering what you guys thought. I haven't taken a look at the underbody or the engine compartment of these 04's yet and I couldn't give him an honest answer.

Thanks in advance!

the exhaust from the 94-04's are pretty much the same. 94-98'shave 2 02 sensors in the headers and another 2 after the cats. The 99+ have all 4 02 sensors in after the headers. If you were hard up you could interchange them, like put a 99+ h-pipe on a 94-98, you would just have 6 holes for 02 sensors instead of 4. That's the only difference over the years.
