ok i wanted to know would 4.30s be far to much gear for a v6 auto? do i have to stick to 4.10s. i mean this thing almost never sees the highway. would it make any diffrence performance wise?

4.30's woud indeed be alot of gear. You can use them but I would go with 4.10's for a little more enjoyable drive/car

they would not kill your top speed so much, but the car wont be a good daily driver, just stick with 4.10, the v6 doesent need so much gear

yeah, 4.30s only come in 8.8s and not 7.5s...unless you get some of those custom ones, but don't bother with that.

i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting an 8.8 anyone that has had 7.5 issues would also.... they are nearly as cheap get 4.10s for an auto 4.30s are nice but i think 4.10s would do better in the long run, you dont want to run out of gear before the quarter, heck with 4.10s you may have to shift into overdrive as it is... this will slow your car down more than anything (in the quarter)

Thumbs up

Your better off with 4.10's than 4.30's. The 4.30 gear will be great for the drag strip but not for freeway driving. The 4.10's will be more suitable for three streets and freeway driving.

Matt, 2001 moded V6.
