Simple. The upper connectors that are (were) used in the densechargers were nothing more than home depot ABS Pipe Reducers. The overall thinkness of the rubber that is used in those is about 1/2 inch thick. If they were tightened down too much, the rubber buldged out of the ends, but usually not enough to cause a problem. (I know this because I got one and tested it... I know, I'm a CAI geek .)
Anyway, I think that the situation happened when he went WOT for the first time. When he did that, he didnt think that it would catch on the Throttle cable plate. So is it neglegence because hte installer didnt check for hte problem... or the manufacturer because it was DC's product?
