Do you need to change over to an 8.8 rear to install a panhard bar? The bars I can find are for GTs and have a disclaimer that this switch has to happen for V6's otherwise the bar won't fit.
What company did you get the panhard bar from. I think Maximum Motorsports has a panhard bar for the 7.5 and 8.8. Call them and find out what you need to install the panhard bar correctly.
In case anyone else has this question - I sent it to Maximum Motorsports; here's their reply:
"This PHB we have should fit the 7.5" rear end. The only other thing that you will be limited with using that rear axle is the torque arm, that will not work with the 7.5" axle."
Some V6's have either an 8.8 or 7.5 rear end. If you look under to the axle it should what it is. MM has a panhard bar for the either axle, but the torque arm will not work with 7.5 rear end. Us V6 guys are some what limited to what we can run on our cars.
maximum motorsports will work on a 7.5 or an 8.8 they attach to the rear end via the driver side shock mount which is the same on the 8.8, you should of course ask mm to be sure... but im 99% sure it will work on the rear, and you should ONLY go though mm anyway..... they are the best out there for suspension
No you don't have to swap the 7.5 to 8.8 for a Panhard Bar. If you plan on running a torque arm you will have to swap. Maximum Motorsports I think doesn't make a torque arm for the 7.5.
