couple of questions

1.wat hid bulbs should i get and will they make a difference?

2.lookin to buy gt fog lights for my car.where can i get the whole setup?

3.also are these worth buying for 35.
I have 3 new electronic guages i bought for my mustang but was never hooked up. Been sittin in my guage pod for the past 2 months. There 2 1/16' and have 5 or 6 built in led colors. I have water temp, oil pressure, and vaccum/boost

4.i bought some tires for my dd bullits.sizes 245/40 for 18x9 and 265/35 for 18x10 will that be fine or did i go to small.also will i need to do anything to make them fit or should they just be fine.

thanks all upgrades are goin on a 2003 black v6.im kinda new to all this.

Re: couple of questions

2. VMP tuning has the whole fog light setup cheaper than anywhere else i've seen.

The regular stock looking fogs are 149.00
The clear ones that match the headlights are 175.00

They come with the wiring, switch(under the radio), relay, brackets...everything.

Re: couple of questions

sylvania silver starts are ok for the money, better than stock either way~

for the tires a 10.5 rim needs a 305-315mm wide tire, the 9 wide needs a 265 or 275 wide tire.

Re: couple of questions

they will work, they will look a little stretched, you sure the rear is 10.5 wide? if so the 265 may not be wide enough~

I'd go with one from American Muscle. They have their brand CAI for 74.99, and its a decent CAI. Easy to install, just as good as any $200 CAI.

Re: couple of questions

Personally, I don't think the throttle body is necessary. It would make a bigger difference once you used forced induction or seriously built the engine.
Basic mods (bolt-ons) ~ CAI, Exhaust, Underdrive Pulleys, Gears/Tlok, and a good tune.
Do the tune last, then you'll get the most out of the supporting mods, and the computer will adjust for gearing, tire sizes, etc.

There is a good article about modding your mustang on here somewhere.

Re: couple of questions

you should get the fog lights from pep boys. there 30bucks and they look just as good. you also have to go to lowes or home depot and buy small thin metal plates with some nuts n bolts to make the craddle for the lights n u have fog lights that look good for less than $100dollaz! check mine out they look just as good. i also did the cai all the way down to the right front fog light for less than $100bucks! and it works just as good!

Re: couple of questions

people run 45/65s all the time on 9/10"... don't think it would be that bad but I would want bigger.

Re: couple of questions

265/35/18,275/35/18, 295/35/18, 315/30/18s are the right sizes for 94-04 mustangs~ its not a perfect world but its as close as you can get.

For reference every inch is 25.4 mm

review article I wrote here for information on tire size so you know whats going down and how to calculate it yourself.

Re: couple of questions

this is the way i see it. pep boys knows cars they say its a bad idea... people on here know mustangs.... they say its a bad idea... honestly do you really want to 'cut corners" where the rubber meets the road? i sure dont. besides.....

275/35/18 Recommended for Best Fit on 1999-2004 Mustangs with 18x9 rims Front & Rear 3.8" 25.6" 80.4" 788.0

285/35/18 Recommended for Best Fit on 1999-2004 Mustangs with 18x10 rims - Rear Only Rear 3.9" 25.9" 81.2" 780.0

thats coming from the tire guide on American Muscle.

personally i would have stuck with the 17" wheel tires are alot cheaper. but with style comes cost and when you cut cost on tires your cutting your chances on safety as well.... this is all my opinion and some facts as well.

Re: couple of questions

what is your budget, what are your goals, and will the car be a daily driver or only a fun car? Dont settle if thats what you feel you are doing. Most regret modifying the v6 when they just end up buying a GT. With that said make SURE you at least get a 99-04 gt, while still quite slow they are much better than the pre 99 models.
