I made things much worse and am now at wits end....
Original problem was hesitation and bucking at mid speed during acceleration and a P1407 code. I pulled the EGR and flushed out the exhaust side with carb cleaner- it looked relatively clean to begin with. I then replaced the DPFE, EGR Valve Solenoid, and the TPS.
Now when I try to start it, it immediately revs up to about 2000rpm and then drops off rapidly and stalls. If I give it the gas, I can keep it running at1500rpm or above so now its not driveable.
Is there anything special about installing the TPS? The other two parts were no-brainers. Any other thoughts?
