Re: Rear End

all three are pretty low and any of them will work fine. I wouldnt worry about it.

Re: Rear End

auto or manual? 2.73s are good for dd highway~ but kill acceleration.

Re: Rear End

I have 2.73's in my LX... not liking them except for the highway.

I like the 3.27's in my '79... a good all around gear.

Re: Rear End

yea a 3.27-3.55 is about the best all around (but ALL this is based on transmission gears lol as those effect it and tire size)

for more performance minded 3.73 for manual 4.10 for auto, or 4.10 for manual if you really want aggressive acceleration but higher rpms on the highway.

Re: Rear End

I have 4.10's in an AOD 90 LX. It sits at about 2200 crusing around 73 mph just for reference. Does feel like it's really too much gear but it's alot of fun around town.
