I'm installing my new headlights today - and was getting ready to do something that I saw an article about. I was going to run a bead of clear silicone around the lights where the lens meets the housing.
Some of it is already done on these particular lights. However, I started wondering if closing up EVERY hole I see would somehow TRAP condensation/moisture in and make it worse, thoughts?
I'm no expert but i would let them set outside in the sun light for a while and heat up then seal them it will also let the sealent dry faster hope this helps
im assuming these are aftermarket headlights. definatley run a bead of silicone on all edges. and the big thing alot of ppl neglect, make sure the bulb is installed correctly, alot of ppl get moisture from incorrectly installing the bulb as opposed to the lens leaking.
So for future proofing of the thread, if anyone gets these, have some electrical crimpers - it uses a dual element marker that you have to wire into the side marker lines.
