Brake torque = BAD!

Since the GT was driving good again today firgured i would take it out and get on it.
Everything was going great until my dad said it looked like only 1 wheel was spinning. So i did a little brake torque to check it out. Driving home after that, my trans was back to revving past 2nd and going to 3rd

But at least i know for sure that i have t-lok

Anyone have a blow up diagram of an aod-e?

brake torquing is fine, I brake torque the buick to 2200 RPMs

When you had your trans pan down how did the fluid look/smell?

Re: Brake torque = BAD!

it didn't look horrible, i've seen worse but it did smell a bit funky(burnt). I think someone put a shift kit in it and didn't do it right. Found this picture of the 1-2 accumulator out of the vehicle. Notice the seal/cap at the bottome then a spring, then the piston, then another spring. Well my seal/cap i could push up by hand and it would stay there. I'm guessing thats my real problem.

Re: Brake torque = BAD!

I think its going bye bye. got in it this morning and it was working fine again. at lunch it was working good, then messed up once then working. Not gonna keep putting bandaids on it so to speak, and not gonna pay the price for a rebuild kit. Give me a few weeks and ill have a T-5 in her.

Yeah I know this thread is WAY old! lol, but i like to read some of the stuff! Any ways break torquing can actually ruin the tc if done enough times!
