f**** distributor removal help

i have a 351w im trying to get the distributor out but it willnt budge i took the bolt and the little bracket piece that holds it down off any one have any tricks on how to breakk it free with out messing it up i have acces behind the timeing gear and chain

mark it before you remove it with a paint marker. ive had them being a PITA to remove before. it helps if you get some channel locks and grab the base of the dizzy and twist back and forth. itll help loosen it a bit

yeeah im tearing the motor apart so i have to line evrything back up anyway normally when ive done them they kinda wiggle out but this thing will not budge but yeah ill try the channel locks on it thanks man

If you're tearing it all the way down anyway....take some penetrating lube and spray it around the base. Grab ahold of it and muscle it out...it took some work to get it out of my bronco after 200k miles.

yeah thats what ive been trying spray let it sit try to budge it spray it let it sit and then do it again loosing patientce with it lol its more anoying then my girlfriend

mine did that i could sit there and twist mine but i couldn pull it up i finally got it by putting som a$$ into it
