Current Market for a 1994 Cobra

I am the original owner of a black 1994 Cobra coupe with only 56,897 miles and no mods. I uploaded some pictures to the Albums area, which were taken after getting it detailed this past June.

I am curious what the resale value of a 1994 Cobra is to a Mustang enthusiast buyer compared to the generic blue book value. I have had this car for the past 15 years and did not realized until recently that fan sites like this one existed.

This car has been a part of me for so long that it is hard to imagine parting with it. At the same time, the car does not define me and if it could bring excitement to someone else it would be a win-win. It would be a crime against humanity for this car to get swallowed in some PC cash-for-clunkers program.

It deserves a good home

Re: Current Market for a 1994 Cobra

First let me say....BEAUTIFUL COBRA!!!!!! If i had the extra cash laying around, I'd come get it, just so I'd have an all original Cobra in the yard.

You should try ebay and auto-trader, just to see about what the 94's are selling for, but keep in mind, you probably won't find any all original, no mod 94 Cobras in that shape. But it'll give you a good starting point.

Hell, if you're lucky, one of the money-bag collectors on M.E. might even take it off of your hands. hahahha I personally feel that it'd be a good investment.

Re: Current Market for a 1994 Cobra

haha ... thanks for advice. It seems Ebay is mostly parts auctions but I will hunt some more auto seller boards. With only 6,009 Cobras made in 1994 it might be hard to find a comparable especially since there were only 776 made like mine.

In my opinion, that definately may be something that a collector would be interested in.

Yah, if you find the right person you'll get exactly what you want for it. Maybe someone who had a stock one back in 94 and had to sell it, or just a cobra fanatic who's collecting stock cobras with reasonable mileage.

If I had the extra cash, I'd consider it...I wouldn't mind a 5 liter cobra

Re: Current Market for a 1994 Cobra

if it has good miles (average or better, say around 10k miles per year or better to be considered good miles) and its in GREAT shape (not modest... some dont know that distinction lol) then it will no doubt bring more than book. Its just about how good of condition it is in.

Re: Current Market for a 1994 Cobra

thats a tough question a year or two ago would of been a great time to see it, but now it might be hard to find the perfect buyer. I would guess around 8 or 9k

Re: Current Market for a 1994 Cobra

you can pick up an 94/95 cobra for about 4-6k in good to bad shape~ so in better than good up to 8-10k~ its all about finding the right buyer~
