Unhappy Headlight and directional problem

My 1988 gt's headlight work only sometimes. The directional work when they feel like it. Evertime I get ready to bring she to the shop, they start working. Does anyone have information they can share?? (I had the toggle switch replaced last year.)

Re: Headlight and directional problem

mine does the same thing when i turn on the fog lights.. haven't found a solution yet, so i just ride without the fog lights.

i was told that if the switches had not been used in a while, that the contacts get dirty sometimes and simply switching it from on to off a few times would possibly fix the problem.

if i do find a good solution, i'll be sure to post. good luck!

Re: Headlight and directional problem

When i switch from high to low beams in my 97 the lights sometimes shut off. I think it's in the turn signal switch I'm going to replace that.

the switches in our models are different, they're not on the signal switch like the 94-04 models.
