Re: cam advice

It shouldn't matter what brand it is if it says it will fit the 5.0 then it will fit.

Re: cam advice

You need to be REALLY careful and do your research. You want a cam that goes with the heads/intakes/motor you are running... not just an off the shelf. Its not like X component gives XX power on every car, its all depends on how the rest of the motor is setup and the cam is the KEY to all of it.

I am no 5.0 expert so I will let others put up potential setups and what cams work, but do not just throw in an E303 cam or some crap lol.

Re: cam advice

I agree with spec again when it comes to picking lift and duration and all that I've been researching for a few months now. But I haven't worried about the brand really.

Re: cam advice

Comp cams on there web site has a spot where you fill out all your Eng. mods and Eng size and within 3 days they will send you back 2 or 3 grinds that will work best. I don't know about where you are but in CA smog sucks something to think about. I found that with cams less is often more and if your after a sound check out you tube then post on the video if they like how the cam works. even then your still getting away from what works best for your Eng.

http://www.compcams.com/v002/Company...n/CamHelp.aspx

you can download cam6
but its best just to ask thats there job. Like the others in the post I have been around cars my whole life and have this degree in automotive technology but when it comes to cams i just don't know that why I know about the link. I used it for a dart that I did it works
hope this helps but check out other cams as well
