AODE shifting too early

HI All

I have a 1995 Mustang GT with an AODE tranny. It is shifting way too early in every gear. I just bought this car and it has likely been doing it always. Anyone have any ideas where to start to look for a cure? This is really hard on an automatic to shift this early under load. Should I just try a new EEC module?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Re: AODE shifting too early

hey I got the same car and was wondering if you got any answers to your question about the tranny. Mine does the same thing plus from shifting early it shacks a little between 25-35 mph. It only happens once in a while though but I have talked to others who have had the same problem as we do but they just changed the whole tranny. A few people I have talked to installed a transgo shift kit which helped some.

Re: AODE shifting too early

do the transmission have a modulator on the side that's controlled by vacuum, or is it even controlled by one? I know the older ones did.
