Smog pump eliminator

Hey thinking about doing the smog pump eliminator on my 95 gt. Do you need to relocate the ac compressor when doing this or can i leave it where it is? also do i need a shorter belt? Finally, should i just cap off the tubes that go into the head and the exhaust or is there a way to get rid of those too? thanks.

I've seen it frees up anything from 5 to 15 HP.. dunno which is the case

I wouldn't think more than 10.. -- if anything it drops close to 30 lbs from the car all told..

Re: Smog pump eliminator

Just get a shorter belt. The plugs are called Thermactor plugs and you need them to plug the holes in the back of the heads. For the exhaust, I just RTV's a bolt into the hole on the H pipe and it hasn't leaked yet. good luck
