Blowers

Anyone know where i can get a S/C or Blower kit for a carburated 351 Windsor?

I already called Kenne Belle and they dont sell kits for carburated engines.

Any help would be appreciated,

:chin: I think these will fit. The only company that I can find that sells a kit for carburated mustangs is Paxton, but I swear I've seen Vortech kits on classic carburated Mustangs before. I think you can order a Eleanor Mustang with one. :dunno:

arent the Unique Performance eleanor clones Fuel injected? or at least use throttle body injection i believe.

i dont think you can use forced induction in a carb setup unless the carb sits on top of the blower. carbs use vacuum from the motor to suck the fuel from the resevoir into the airstream(thus the venturi effect). on forced induction, that vacuum is replaced bu positive pressure, which would just push the fuel from the carb back to the tank(figuratively speaking).

all of the turbo'd big blocks ive seen use MPFI or TBI.

I'm not sure about all their models but the their G.T.500E: Super Snake Model has a Demon Carb on it.

I would agree with what you're saying, because it would seem like the incoming air would suck the fuel from the carb, but if you look at the pics of the superchargers they have a box mounted on top of the carb with a centrifugal. But I'm not sure why it doesn't disrupt the flow of the fuel.

the lowest price was 2675.00 plus shipping and i wish i had that cash laying around because it would be supercharged and i dont even know what kind of HP i would put out because ive got 365 HP w/o a supercharger and it says 30%-75% HP gain depending on engine build.

i did the math and at 30% gain i would have 474.5 HP. At a 50% gain i would have 547.5 HP and at 75% gain i would have 638.75 HP. But i dont know what my actual numbers would be because it always depends on who tunes it and how the motor can use the extra air/fuel. The motor is a jasper crate with a 9:1 compression ratio so it might be higher than 30% but im just rambling on so ill stop.

Procharger also makes setups for carbs.

they make them~ but you would probably make more power all around with a F.I. setup along with the blower.

That is a definate. Carbs are easier to "tune" because all you have to do is turn up the fuel, but carbs are just entirely less efficient.

id prefer a twin screw supercharger I.E. Kenne Belle but they dont make carburated kits does anyone know who does?
